There is a controversial statement competition underway in the Congress. The Bharatiya Janata Party State media in-charge Manveer Singh Chauhan said that the FIR lodged by PCC president Karan Mahara regarding a statement made in Karnataka is part of this competition.
“There is no check on unrestrained statements in the Congress and the party lacks discipline. When the Congress leaders are brought under the purview of the law for such statements they claim that democracy is in danger. When the Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge makes a controversial statement on the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Congress members think it is okay.
The Congress should stop pretending and observe high moral standards in public life,” said Chauhan.
