Pantanjali boosts self employment through Indian rural art

Women from different districts of the State were provided training in linking folk art Aipan with self employment at a training on traditional eco art organised by Patanjali with the support of Uttarakhand State Rural Livelihood Mission at Patanjali’s Samriddh Gram training centre. The participating women were also trained in enhancing business and livelihood through the IRULA hyper local model. Speaking on the conclusion of this five-day training programme, Patanjali Group co-founder Acharya Balkrishna said that the main aim of this training programme was to encourage the State’s folk arts while also enhancing the livelihood and facilitating self-reliance of women. Those who participated in the workshop were given skill development training in art using Diya, stone, Sari, Kurta, wooden block, canvas and wall painting. Uttarakhand State Rural Livelihood Mission additional CEO Pradeep Pande appreciated the efforts undertaken by Patanjali on the occasion.
