The Badrinath National Highway above Hanuman Chatti remained closed on Wednesday due to heavy snowfall in Chamoli’s Badrinath for the past few days. The Border Roads Organisation (BRO) started the work of clearing the snow to unblock the road after the weather improved on Wednesday. The temples of Badrinath Dham and all houses and shops remained covered in about six feet of thick snow, as per the locals. The ITBP personnel deployed for security Badrinath Dham and the members of Badrinath Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC) have been continuously working to remove the snow from the temple premises and the road leading to Tapt Kund.
