Two more arrested in Raipur shootout case

A day after the shootout which resulted in one death and serious injuries to two in Dehradun, the police nabbed two absconding accused and notorious criminal Ramvir Singh (38) and Ankush (30) from Rajasthan and Dehrdaun respectively on Tuesday. Ramvir was arrested after a brief encounter near Talwar village in the Kotputli district of Rajasthan. Ankush was nabbed in Dehradun in the evening.
The officials said that the Dehradun senior superintendent of police Ajai Singh had sent teams to all possible cities where the absconding accused could have fled after the shootout at Dobhal Chowk in the Nehrugram area late on Sunday. The police arrested Ramvir early on Tuesday. He belongs to Muzaffarnagar in Uttar Pradesh and several murder cases are also reportedly registered against him, as per the officials.
The police also sent three accused- Sonu Bharadwaj, Monu Bharadwaj and Sagar Yadav to jail. The SSP said that the police are looking for two more absconding accused who will be nabbed soon too. He also informed that the police received a complaint on Tuesday that the accused Sonu and Monu have allegedly built their house illegally in the Raipur area.
Considering this, the police established coordination with the Municipal Corporation of Dehradun (MCD) and their team was called to measure the property. Appropriate action will be taken if the corporation finds that their house is built on encroached land, he said.
