The Bharatiya Janata Party State president Mahendra Bhatt has expressed confidence that the party will win the Vidhan Sabha by elections in Badrinath and Manglaur constituencies by record margins. He said that the voters are bound to vote for the BJP to ensure the desired level of development in their region especially as the lies peddled by the INDIA bloc have been exposed.
Interacting informally with the media, the BJP State president said that the BJP is set to win the Vidhan Sabha bypolls in Badrinath and Manglaur constituencies. He said, “The results of the Lok Sabha elections have once again confirmed that there is no alternative to the BJP in Uttarakhand. The opposition had tried to build a perception during the general elections that its government was going to be elected at the Centre. However, the election results have shown that the people are happy with the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the work done in Uttarakhand by the government under chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. The people of the constituencies are fully aware that this election is meant to elect a public representative to fulfill the aspirations of the people for regional development. Only BJP representatives will be capable of establishing coordination with the double-engine government and ensuring all round development of their Assembly constituencies. Any voter will not waste his or vote in this bypoll by voting for the opposition,” Bhatt opined.
Rejecting allegations that the BJP had fielded ‘outsider’ candidates, he said that the Congress which lacks issues, ideology and organisation struggles to find a strong candidate inside or outside the party. He said that the BJP respects all those who come to it, adding that the party selects capable and strong candidates without any bias. He said, “We are going to win from both the seats. In Badrinath we have the former MLA Rajendra Singh Bhandari. The people there will vote for the double-engine government to take forward the development works in the constituency. In Manglaur, the BJP is going to make history by winning the seat for the first time since the creation of Uttarakhand. The people there want development,” he added.
