In latest news from Uttarakhand, the body of the Garhwal Rifles jawan Shravan Chauhan of village Sarnaul of Barkot tehsil of Uttarkashi district who had died in line of duty during treatment at a hospital in Leh has been brought to Chandigarh and from there will be taken to his native village by road in an Indian Army ambulance.
The Uttarakhand chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami had expressed his grief over the death of the soldier. The district panchayat member Anand Singh Rana said that Shravan was the fourth among five siblings and his one elder brother and another younger brother are also working for the army.
