Intense spells of rain in Dehradun late on Thursday night and Friday morning resulted in waterlogging in some parts of Dehradun. However, no major damage was reported in the provisional State capital and other parts of the State. The State meteorological centre has issued a yellow warning (Be Updated) regarding the possibility of thunderstorms accompanied with lightning/intense spells of rain likely to occur at isolated places in Rudraprayag, Tehri, Dehradun, Pauri, Nainital, Champawat, Pithoragarh and Bageshwar districts on Friday. Apart from this, light to moderate rain/thundershowers are likely to occur at few places in Rudraprayag, Tehri, Dehradun, Pauri, Nainital, Champawat, Pithoragarh and Bageshwar districts and at isolated places in remaining districts of the State.
The provisions State capital Dehradun is forecast to witness a partly cloudy sky. Light to moderate rain/thundershowers are likely to occur in some areas towards afternoon/evening.
