The 12th inter-school Llewelyn debate and quiz competition was held at the Sherwood College here on Saturday. Saint Jude’s School, Dehradun won the competition followed by Modern School, Delhi in second place and Sherwood College securing the third position. A total of 13 teams from various public schools from various parts of the country participated in the competition. Six teams succeeded in the qualifying round to participate in the second round. The teams competed while being quizzed about issues ranging from international affairs, science, politics, commerce, entertainment, history, health and geography. Sherwood College principal Amandeep Sandhu said that this competition has been held annually for 12 years now to enable students to develop at par with global standards. Considering the capability amidst tough competition, the knowledge of Indian students appears impressive, he said.
