In latest news from Dehradun, in a bonanza for the people, the State government announced 50 per cent subsidy for those who will consume electricity up to 100 units per month. Besides, the government will subsidise 50 per cent for the power consumption charges of the people from the designated high-altitude regions who will consume electricity up to 200 units per month. Notably, the number of consumers with consumption of 100 units or less in the State is about 11, 80,000.
The secretary Energy Meenakshi Sundaram announced the bonanza at the CM residence during a commemorative programme to mark the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami’s birthday.
