Two dead, one injured in car accident in Pauri

Two people died and one sustained injuries after a car fell into a deep gorge in the Bhon-Khalyun Danda of Dhumakot area of Pauri district on Wednesday afternoon. The deceased were identified as 17-year-old Ramesh Lal and 37-year-old Pradeep. The officials informed that the police called the rescue team of the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) on the accident spot. 

A team led by sub-inspector Devendra Negi from the Dhumakot SDRF post rushed to the spot with necessary rescue equipment. Upon reaching the scene, the team discovered that the car was carrying three individuals out of which two had already succumbed to their injuries. The officials said that the SDRF team worked meticulously to recover the bodies from the gorge and handed them over to the district police to carry out the legal procedure.

The injured man, identified as 35-year-old Kishor Kumar, a resident of Parshuram Enclave, Burari, North Delhi, was rescued from the gorge and transported to the main road. He was immediately sent to the hospital via the 108 ambulance service for medical treatment. The officials said that the cause of the accident is unclear but the police have launched an investigation into the incident.
