Chief secretary Radha Raturi has directed the officials to expedite the allocated government resources and their efficient use for implementation of the National Dialysis Programme.

She said that the Health department should disseminate information about the free haemodialysis facility being provided to the BPL patients and the holders of golden cards through 19  dialysis centers set up in the 13 districts across the state.

The CS reviewed the dialysis services being provided free of cost to patients below poverty line and golden card holders in the State under Pradhan Mantri National Dialysis Programme (PMNDP) through public private partnership mode on Monday.

She said that with the help of 153 dialysis machines in 19  dialysis centres set up in the 13 districts of the State, free dialysis services are being provided to BPL patients and golden card holders. She said that 82 dialysis machines are being operated under public private partnership mode while 49 machines are being operated under CSR by Hans Foundation.

The CS said that 1,17,490 dialysis sessions have been given to the beneficiaries till December in the year 2024-25.

She directed the departments concerned to make use of PMNDP portal, which is an IT platform to capture details of all patients availing free dialysis services. The CS added that ABHA ID of every patient should be generated to prevent duplicity and ensure transparency, efficiency and interoperability.

She said that the objective of PMNDP is to establish dialysis services with a better working system and to provide high quality and low cost dialysis services to patients suffering from kidney related diseases.
