Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital observes World Cancer Day

To mark the World Cancer Day, the Oncology department of Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital, in collaboration with the Nursing College of Shri Guru Ram Rai University and the Kamlesh Cancer Foundation, hosted a series of activities to raise awareness about cancer prevention and early detection.
The day began with a rally in which 300 nursing students from Shri Guru Ram Rai University’s Nursing College participated. Further, a Nukkad Natak (street play) on cancer-related issues, early symptoms, and the significance of regular screenings was staged. A poster presentation showcasing the latest advancements in cancer treatment, prevention strategies and lifestyle factors was also held.
The head of the Cancer department at Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital Dr Pankaj Garg stressed on urgency of early detection and the need for heightened awareness in the community. The faculty of the Nursing College- Dr Ajeet Tiwari, Dr Rachit Ahuja, Dr Debanjan, Dr Nishith and PRO Vivek Sharma-played active role in hosting the commemorative programmes.
