Build up for Jhanda Mela tomorrow

A large number of Sangat devotees reached Shri Darbar Sahib here on Monday ahead of the Jhanda Mela. Mahant Devendra Das gave his darshan to the Sangat devotees and motivated them on the occasion. He urged the Sangat devotees to embrace the sacredness of food, behaviour and thoughts which will lead to a successful life. He said that the darshan of the god will be possible if faith and belief of Sangat devotees is there. He said that human life should not be wasted as it is too precious. The Mahant urged the Sangat devotees to practice bhakti.
On Tuesday, the new Sangat devotees will be given namdaan and gurumantra. As per tradition, gurumantra is given before and after the ascension of Shri Jhande Ji (the holy flag pole).
Agriculture and Farmer Welfare minister Ganesh Joshi bowed down at Shri Darbar Sahib on Monday. He had a formal meeting with Das and took his blessings. The duo discussed in detail the contemporary issues of the State.
Meanwhile, the Shri Jhande Ji Mela organising committee has made special arrangements of the decoration of Shri Darbar Sahib. Special decorations have been done in every part of Shri Darbar Sahib. Sangat devotees have been arriving in large numbers. Chief manager of Shri Jhande Ji Mela organising committee, Madhusudan Semwal informed that on Monday, the process of stitching the gilaafs was executed at a swift pace. There are three types of gilaafs for the flag pole.Apart from the spiritual aspects, the organisers have also made proper security arrangements. The organisers have installed 42 CCTV cameras. A team of doctors and nursing staff of Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital is on duty at the Mela hospital.
