Edu Dept appoints 789 guest teachers to vacant posts of lecturers

The School Education department has recruited 789 new guest teachers to the vacant posts of lecturers in the department. On the orders of the Education minister Dhan Singh Rawat, the department has prepared a merit list of 789 guest teachers in the Arts subject. The department has also allotted districts to these guest teachers.
The department will appoint 101 guest teachers in Chamoli, 98 in Pithoragarh, 154 in Pauri, 90 in Almora, 22 in Uttarkashi, 61 in Tehri, 39 in Nainital, 44 in Champawat, 55 in Bageshwar, 61 in Rudraprayag, 19 in Dehradun, 42 in Udham Singh Nagar and three in Haridwar district. These guest teachers include 193 teachers of Hindi subject, 90 of Geography, 194 in Economics, 217 in Sociology and 95 of History.
The department had earlier appointed 157 guest teachers in the Science subjects in the schools of the State.
The minister said that all the chief education officers have been directed to deploy these guest teachers on the vacant posts of lecturers in their districts. He said that these teachers will be appointed in remote areas. Rawat said that the State government is committed to provide the best education and facilities to the students.
