The Uttarakhand Congress organised ‘Samvidhan Bachao, Sauhard Badhao’ seminar on the occasion of 135th birth anniversary of BR Ambedkar on Tuesday.
Speaking on the occasion, the vice president (organisation) of State Congress Suryakant Dhasmana said that Ambedkar has given the sacred document named the constitution to the country which is accepted by 140 crore Indians. He said that India is a country having cultural, linguistic and other diversities and only a person such as Ambedkar could prepare a constitution which connected everyone.
Dhasmana said that today BJP and RSS are bent on destroying the constitution drafted by Ambedkar but the workers of the Congress party will not allow them to succeed.
He said that both the Union and Uttarakhand governments are consistently attacking the constitution.
He said that the constitution does not allow discrimination based on religion, caste, region and language but in the BJP ruled States discrimination is rampant.
Dhasmana said that the Congress leader Rahu Gandhi undertook a 4,000 kilometre long march on foot to save the constitution and challenged the divisive elements due to which the slogan of 400 plus seats in Lok Sabha elections of 2024 failed and the intention of BJP to change the constitution could not be fulfilled.
The president of the SC cell of State Congress Madan Lal said that Congress will fulfill Ambedkar’s dream by bringing the deprived sections of society, SC, ST and poor under its umbrella.
The head of the intellectual cell of State Congress, Pradeep Joshi said that Ambedkar is a messiah not only for any caste or section but for every such person who is discriminated against, deprived and poor.
