The Bharatiya Janata Party has claimed that the ‘Jan Jan Ki Sarkar, Jan Jan Ke Dwar’ is aimed at achieving the aim of a welfare State. The BJP State president and Rajya Sabha member Mahendra Bhatt thanked chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on the successful completion of two months of the campaign in the State, stating that this is the best example of public grievances being solved through communication with the public.
Bhatt said the State government is working on all-round development while also striving in a committed manner to ensure the welfare of every citizen. The State has achieved considerable progress in varied aspects including infrastructure, connectivity, industry, tourism, health, horticulture, education and other fields. The direct impact of these developments has been seen in major changes in the lives of the general public, Bhatt claimed.
“The people of Uttarakhand have repeatedly shown their satisfaction with these works of our ‘double-engine’ government. However, we will not be satisfied with this as our aim is to ensure that every citizen of the State is linked to welfare schemes and has his or her problems resolved. The striking aspects of this campaign were that the rigidity of the bureaucracy was reduced and the administration had to reach the public to communicate. This resulted in about 60 per cent of the public grievances being resolved swiftly on the spot. Subsidy on seeds to farmers, distribution of farming equipment, distribution of various certificates and the public benefitting from the single-window system for various schemes were some of the ways the public benefitting from this campaign. We can confidently say today that we have ascertained an important measure to link every needy person in the State with welfare schemes and to develop a self-reliant Uttarakhand. This campaign has proven to be especially beneficial for residents of rural and border areas of the State while also enhancing transparency in government works and speeding up development in the State, which has boosted the public’s trust in the government,” the BJP State president added.
