Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the State government will continue to provide employment opportunities to the youth with speed, transparency and fairness. He said this on Tuesday while chairing a programme at the CM residence where he distributed appointment letters to 221 candidates selected for various positions in the Urban Development, Skill Development and Employment department and the Animal Husbandry department through the Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UKSSSC).
Dhami stated that during the past four and a half years, the State government has appointed more than 33,000 youth to government jobs. He described this moment as a golden opportunity, marking the success of the youth’s years of hard work and perseverance. The CM emphasised that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the government is consistently working to provide employment, self-employment and better opportunities to the youth. The new startup policy is fostering a vibrant startup culture in the State. Through initiatives like the Chief Minister’s Self-Employment Scheme and youth incentive schemes, young people are being empowered both economically and technically, he said.
The CM further stated that the State government will not compromise the future of the youth at any cost. He said that strict action has been taken against the copy mafia, with the implementation of the most stringent anti-copying law in the country. Additionally, he instructed departments to fill vacant positions without delay.
Dhami urged all candidates to address the problems of the poor and needy by adopting the mantra of simplification, solution, disposal and satisfaction as their goal. He said that the new appointees are not just government employees; they are also partners in the development of Uttarakhand.
Skill Development and Employment minister Saurabh Bahuguna said that there was a time when obtaining a government job was merely a dream for many in Uttarakhand, but now talented youth are securing government positions through their hard work. He informed that appointment letters are being distributed to 173 instructors, four personal assistants selected in the training block of the Skill Development and Employment department and nine personal assistants in the Animal Husbandry Department.
Cabinet minister Ram Singh Kaira stated that under the CM’s leadership, appointments are being made without any recommendations. Over the past two years, appointment letters have been distributed to 215 individuals in the Urban Development department, including 35 selected assistant accountants who received their letters today, he added.
