Following the widespread flak, the Badrinath Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC) has registered a FIR at the Badrinath police station against its suspended employee Pramod Nautiyal in the case of alleged theft of offerings at Badrinath Dham.
The FIR was registered against Nautiyal on the complaint of BKTC on late Tuesday night. Pertinently Nautiyal was serving as private secretary to the BKTC chairman Hemant Dwivedi.
The complaint against Nautiyal at the Badrinath police station was made following the departmental inquiry committee found that the money were illegally taken away from the Thali Bhet ( offering plate) counting site on July 2, between 9 AM to 9.30 AM. Nautiyal was suspended on Tuesday by the BKTC.
It is worth mentioning here that the State government on the orders of chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has constituted a three-member high level committee to investigate the sensitive case. The State government has directed the committee to submit its inquiry report within 15 days. The committee is expected to commence its investigation soon.
