The Bharatiya Janata Party has stated that while temples are a political issue for the Congress, it is a matter of faith for the BJP. It said that the planned visit of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi to Uttarakhand will have no impact as the people do not trust the Congress.

Interacting with the BJP State president and Rajya Sabha MP Mahendra Bhatt said that the people have no trust in the Congress as it lacks ideas and issues. The planned Uttarakhand visit of leader of opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi and AICC general secretary KC Venugopal’s Dehradun visit will not change the party’s fate. Responding to allegations regarding donations to the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya and Badrinath Dham, he said that anyone guilty will face the law. However, it is laughable when the Congress, which doesn’t believe in Ram and Sanatan, sheds crocodile tears in the name of faith. By denying the development in Uttarakhand, the Congress leaders from Delhi may show dreams to party workers but cannot stop the infighting in the party, he said.

Regarding Venugopal’s Dehradun visit, Bhatt said that Congress leaders visit Uttarakhand during the election year, whether it be Rahul Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge or Venugopal. “Their visits are based on spreading lies and issues which create confusion. They raise the same issues every time and the people have repeatedly rejected them to expose their fake issues. The people have lost faith in the Congress which lacks principles, ideas and issues. Under a strategy which has remained unchanged for years, they have been spreading lies, confusion and rumours to mislead the public. They always make such attempts and are repeatedly defeated by public opinion. Even their leaders seem to have realised that their luck will not change in Uttarakhand. In reality, the visits of their leaders are an attempt to hide internal factionalism in the party. They level false allegations against the government to show dreams to their party workers and try to mislead the public,” Bhatt said.

Responding to allegations levelled at the State government, the BJP State chief said that regarding allegations related to faith, the accused are facing the law whether they be in Ayodhya or in Badrinath. “The investigation is underway and anyone found guilty prima facie will face suspension along with stern action as per the law. The people trust the BJP so any work we do is in the interests of the State and nation. The public knows that any decision against public interest will not be taken by the BJP government,” he said.
