The Rashtriya Lok Morcha (RLM) on Thursday announced that it will contest the upcoming Uttarakhand Assembly elections in support of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA).
Addressing the media here on Thursday, the party’s senior national vice president AK Bajpai and national vice president Prithvi Raj Yadav said that the party under the leadership of national president and former Union minister Upendra Kushwaha is working to strengthen its organisational network across the country. They said that the RLM would work to take the NDA government’s development initiatives and welfare schemes to the people of Uttarakhand while expanding its presence across the State.
The leaders also referred to the party’s national executive meeting held in New Delhi on June 13, where discussions were held on organisational expansion, election strategy, membership drives and strengthening the party structure up to the booth level.
The party also announced the appointment of Sandeep Patwal as the Uttarakhand State president of the RLM. After assuming the responsibility, Patwal thanked the party leadership and said that he would focus on strengthening the organisation from the district level to the booth level across the State. He appealed to party workers to work together to expand the party’s reach ahead of the Assembly elections.
He said that the RLM would contest the elections with organisational strength while extending support to the NDA alliance.
