Unnati Sharma, an alumna of DAV Public School, Dehradun, has brought pride to her country, State and school by winning a bronze medal in the women’s 63 kg judo event at the Commonwealth Games held at Glasgow Switzerland recently.
Sharma began her judo training in Class VI at DAV School. Through her talent, discipline and relentless hard work, she achieved several remarkable feats at both national and international levels.
Her latest accomplishment at the Commonwealth Games was celebrated by the school on Wednesday when she was welcomed in the school premises.
Chairperson of the DAV Management Committee and recipient of Padmashree Poonam Suri, principal Shalini Samadhiya, judo coach Punesh Thakur have expressed their joy over her success and wished her a bright future.
