AAP accuses BJP & Congress of diverting attention from public issues

PIONEER EDGE NEWS SERVICE/Dehradun

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Uttarakhand president Uma Gaur Sisodia on Tuesday accused the BJP and Congress of using the “stage purification” controversy to divert public attention from key issues facing the state.

Sisodia said that people were struggling with inflation, unemployment, migration, corruption, poor education and healthcare and law and order concerns but the two parties were focusing on unnecessary controversies instead of answering questions on these issues.

She asked both parties to explain when employment opportunities would increase, migration from the hills would stop and conditions in government schools and hospitals would improve.

Sisodia said that people wanted concrete answers and development-oriented politics rather than emotional and controversial issues. She added that the AAP would continue to raise issues related to employment, education, healthcare, roads, water, electricity, women’s safety and corruption.
She also urged the BJP and Congress to explain their work to the people instead of engaging in controversies over stage purification.
