The Nursing Ekta Manch (NEM) Uttarakhand on Wednesday warned of intensifying its agitation, accusing the government of ignoring thousands of unemployed nursing graduates waiting for employment.
The Manch held an important meeting at the Press Club in Dehradun on Wednesday where various issues related to nursing recruitment, current circumstances, court cases and the organisation’s future strategy were discussed in detail.
At the meeting, NEM office-bearers and active members expressed displeasure over the government’s current nursing recruitment policy, stating that interests of candidates waiting for jobs for a long time are being ignored.
Speaking on the occasion, NEM president Naval Pundir said, “The government should take the demands of unemployed nursing candidates seriously and resolve them soon. If the government does not take a positive decision, the NEM will intensify the movement in the coming days. The government will see its consequences in 2027.”
NEM members said that in the coming days, a strategy will be developed to unite unemployed nursing candidates and expand the movement to a broader level. The forum will also continue its fight on the judicial process and other issues related to recruitment. The NEM members informed that the roadmap of future struggle before the government and the strategy for the upcoming movement in the interest of unemployed nursing candidates.
The Manch clarified that the fight for employment and rights of unemployed nursing candidates will continue. Secretary Rajendra Kukreti, members Mukesh Ramola, Anil Ramola and other active members of NEM were present in the meeting.
