Prime Minister Narendra Modi had a telephonic conversation with chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Sunday evening wherein he inquired about the relief and construction works in the disaster affected areas of the state. The chief minister informed PM Modi in detail about the financial aid and rehabilitation being facilitated for the disaster affected persons in addition to the reconstruction works underway in the disaster affected areas of the state.
It is pertinent to mention here that 72 people had died, 26 injured and four are missing while 224 houses were damaged in nine of the state’s 13 districts following heavy rains experienced recently.Union Home minister Amit Shah had also visited the State earlier this week to assess the damage caused by heavy rains, landslides and other factors.
