Covid guidelines-Political rallies, public events banned, schools closed till Jan 16

All public events including recreational, education and cultural programmes along with political rallies and protest demonstrations will be prohibited in the state till January 16. This and other decisions were taken in the latest Covid-19 guidelines issued by the government on Friday night. From Anganwadi to class XII, all educational institutions will remain closed till January 16 and online classes will be held.
All gyms, shopping malls, spas, saloons, entertainment parks and cinema halls will open at 50 per cent capacity while swimming pools and water parks will remain closed till January 16. All sports institutions, stadia and play grounds will remain open for training of players at 50 per cent capacity. Similarly, 50 per cent capacity will be allowed as per the venue in marriage functions and funeral processions. Hotels, restaurants and eateries will also function at 50 per cent capacity and takeaways/home delivery will be encouraged. Those entering the state will be allowed in only on showing Covid double vaccination certificate or Covid negative test report not more than 72 hours old. Further, Covid appropriate behaviour will be implemented strictly in all public places.
