Vineet Tomar assumed charge as the managing director of Kumaon Mandal Vikas Nigam (KMVN) here on Saturday. Speaking about his priorities, he said that his main focus will be on increasing the sources of income for the corporation. Interacting with the media, Tomar said that his focus will be on ensuring better use of the limited resources available for increasing the income of the corporation. He said that he will also work on the weaknesses and resolve them to strengthen KMVN.
Considering the competition with private hotels, the corporation will further improve the hospitality at its tourist rest houses so that the visiting tourists have a better experience. Along with encouraging tourism, KMVN is working in hospitality, mining, gas, petrol pump and other activities.
Appointments, training and efficient use of resources will be made in all these spheres, he said. Regarding the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra, he said that this pilgrimage will be made better. The corporation will pursue a target of 2,000 visitors to Adi Kailash and Om Parvat. KMVN general manager AP Vajpayee and other officials were also present on the occasion.
