Covid contagion intensifying in U’khand

The spike in the pandemic of Covid-19 in Uttarakhand is again threatening to attain a dangerous proposition. On Tuesday the state health department reported deaths of three patients and 346 new cases of the disease in Uttarakhand which clearly shows that the contagion is intensifying and becoming fatal.
Death of one patient each was reported from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Rishikesh, Mahant Indiresh hospital Dehradun and Sushila Tiwari government hospital Haldwani on Tuesday.
The authorities also declared 85 patients cured from the disease on the day. The department has so far detected 98,473 new cases of the disease from January 1 this year till date. A total of 92,760 patients have recovered from the disease so far in this year. The recovery percentage of the disease was at 94.20 per cent on Tuesday. A total of 294 patients have lost their lives to the disease this year in the state.
The health department reported 188 new patients from Dehradun, 53 from Haridwar, 40 from Nainital, 21 from Uttarkashi, eight from Almora, seven each from Pauri and Tehri, six from Udham Singh Nagar, five each from Bageshwar and Chamoli, three from Rudraprayag, two from Champawat and one from Pithoragarh on Tuesday.
There are 1925 active patients of Covid- 19 in the state now. Dehradun with 1137 cases is at the top of the table of active cases in the state.
