Ahead of the 2027 Uttarakhand Assembly elections, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has announced that it will once again contest all 70 Assembly seats in the State. The party’s State working president Uma Sisodia said that it is preparing to strengthen its organisational presence across Uttarakhand and will field candidates in every constituency, as it did during the 2022 Assembly elections.
Sisodia said that the party had contested all 70 Assembly seats in the 2022 elections and would repeat the strategy in the 2027 polls. She said that the party’s election campaign would primarily revolve around the issues of education and employment which she described as the biggest concerns facing the people of Uttarakhand. According to Sisodia, the lack of quality educational institutions and limited employment opportunities continue to force many young people to leave the State in search of better prospects.
She said that improving the education system and creating employment opportunities would remain the party’s key priorities throughout the campaign. The party’s manifesto would focus on strengthening healthcare services, ensuring access to quality schools, generating more employment opportunities for youth and creating a larger number of government jobs. AAP aims to present a development-oriented agenda centred on addressing the everyday concerns of the people, she added.
Reiterating the party’s commitment to contesting all 70 Assembly constituencies, Sisodia said that AAP would work to reach voters across the State and highlight issues related to education, healthcare and employment. She expressed confidence that the party’s focus on these core public concerns would resonate with the electorate ahead of the 2027 Assembly elections.
