Adi Karmayogi Abhiyan: Doon’s 41 tribal villages to be covered

Under the ambitious scheme of the Union Ministry of Tribal Affairs, ‘Adi Karmayogi Abhiyan’, a meeting of the district level orientation programme was organised in Vikas Bhavan, presided over by the chief development officer, Abhinav Shah and attended by the state level master trainers, district and development block level master trainers as well as district level senior officials.  

Virtually unveiling the Adi Karmayogi Abhiyan logo of the district, Shah directed the selected tribal-dominated villages be covered 100 per cent by the welfare schemes rolled out by the government. The project officer of Rural Development department, Vikram Singh informed that under this campaign in Dehradun district, a total of 41 villages from four development blocks have been selected under which all the tribal category people residing in these 41 villages are to be 100 per cent covered under all the public welfare schemes run by the government.

The district Social Welfare officer, Dipankar Ghildiyal said that the tribal- dominated villages to be covered by the welfare schemes include 24 villages of Chakrata development block, 12 of Kalsi, four of Vikasnagar and one of Sahaspur.
