Prez to address Assembly’s special session on Nov 3

The Assembly secretariat is now busy preparing for the special session slated on November 3 and 4 convened to commemorate the silver jubilee year of Uttarakhand as a State. It will start with the address of President Droupadi Murmu.
She is arriving on a three-day visit to Uttarakhand. On November 2, she will attend a programme in Haridwar and the next day, she will address the special session at 11 AM. Earlier, former President Pranab Mukherjee addressed the special session in May, 2015.
The Assembly Speaker, Ritu Khanduri Bhushan said that preparations for the special session are now in final shape. “The House will discuss issues related to the State’s development and no legislative work will be conducted during this special session,” she added.
