Indian Bank holds financial awareness event

The Indian Bank conducted an outreach programme on financial awareness in Rishikesh on the weekend. The Reserve Bank of India nominee director of Indian Bank, K Nikhila attended the event along with the corporate chief general manager SSP Roy, field general manager RS Sarkar and other officials from various banks including SBI, PNB, BOB, IOB, BOI, BOM, NABARD, Uttarakhand Gramin Bank and others including a number of customers of all banks.

A live demonstration and KYC updation was also done by Indian Bank, PNB, IOB, BOI and others at separate stalls. Addressing the gathering on the occasion Nikhila emphasised on financial literacy and women empowerment. Speaking on the occasion, Roy informed the gathering that the banks’ progress in Re-KYC and other financial inclusion schemes is highly appreciated.

The other attractions of the event included a short play on Re-KYC, a street play on digital fraud and digital arrest, customer’s experience with the bank on Re-KYC and other aspects. The deaf beneficiaries and beneficiaries under PMJJBY and PMSBY also interacted with Nikhila.

Sarkar proposed the vote of thanks on the occasion. The event was organised by the Indian Bank, Dehrdun zonal office team under the leadership of zonal head Rajeev Kumar Roy.
