Marking the seventh anniversary of Ayushman Bharat, several health-related programmes were organised in all 180 Atal Ayushman Arogya Kendras spread across Tehri district on Monday. Informing this, the chief medical officer, Tehri, Dr Shyam Vijay said that the programmes hosted by the district Health department focused on non-communicable diseases, examination of pregnant women and children, vaccination, anaemia testing, health advice to adolescents and free medicine distribution.
Along with this, a health camp was also organised in the remote village Gainwali where the people were provided the above health facilities. He further said that in response to the demand of the locals, a health camp would be organised here on the 14th of every month.
