Banks’ outreach campaign held at Dakpathar in Doon

A camp was organised for financial inclusion and financial awareness under the outreach saturation campaign at Dakpathar under Vikasnagar block of Dehradun district. Organised at the initiative of the Herbertpur branch of Punjab and Sind Bank, it was attended by senior officials of Reserve Bank of India. The residents of the area were given detailed information about various social security schemes being run by the Government of India such as Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana, Atal Pension Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, re-KYC in closed accounts and facility of enrollment in all accounts. Besides, they were informed about how to keep away from digital and cyber frauds. A large number of locals and college students attended the camp.
The deputy general manager, RBI, Shailendra Sharma and others shared important information regarding financial inclusion, financial awareness, online fraud and re-KYC with those present on behalf of the RBI. Besides, senior officers of the Dehradun zone of Punjab & Sind Bank informed about various welfare schemes being run by the bank and the Government of India. A number of senior officers from other banks like State Bank of India and Punjab National Bank also highlighted the significance and objectives of this outreach campaign. The branch manager of Punjab and Sind Bank, Herbertpur, Sandeep Tomar assured the customers that they would continue to provide high quality banking services and benefits of various government schemes.
