The rising heat and eating habit carelessness are now negatively impacting people’s health, said the doctors working at B D Pandey District Hospital. They said that a large number of patients kept thronging the hospital, complaining of vomiting, diarrhoea and viral fever.
Sharing details, the acting PMS of the state-run facility, Dr M S Dugtal said that with the increase in heat, the number of patients has customarily increased. “The patients thronging the hospital come with stomach ache, vomiting, diarrhoea, food poisoning and viral fever,” he said. Explaining the trend, he said that after the onset of summer, people tend to consume outside food. Besides, they do not pay much attention to cleanliness. “This is why infections spread rapidly around this time,” he said and advised people to eat light and fresh food in the summer, drink more water, avoid open food items outside and pay special attention to cleanliness.
