Cancer surgeon Dr Ravi Kant becomes sr advisor, Venkateshwara Group

The Padma Shri recipient Cancer surgeon, Dr Ravi Kant assumed charge as the senior advisor of the Venkateshwara Group of Institutions on Thursday.
Hailing the development, the founder chairman of Venkateshwara Group of Institutions, Sudhir Giri said that a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons, London, Dr Ravi Kant was a former vice- chancellor of King George Medical University, Lucknow and former director of AIIMS Bhopal and AIIMS Rishikesh. “The Venkateshwara Institute of Medical Sciences will become a centre of excellence for medical services in the country with the help of qualified and experienced doctors and latest technology,” he added.
“With the joining of Dr Ravi Kant, not just the people of Moradabad/ Meerut division but also the patients of other districts of western Uttar Pradesh will get affordable and world-class treatment,” said the vice-chancellor, Shri Venkateshwara University, Rajeev Tyagi.
In his address, Dr Ravi Kant said that there are unlimited possibilities for expansion of modern medical and health services in western UP. “We have a team of qualified doctors and state-of-the-art superspeciality services,” he noted.
