Under a dual degree programme- introduced after signing of the memorandum of understanding (MoU) between GB Pant University of Agriculture and Technology and Western Sydney University, Australia- Indian students can pursue research abroad with the Western Sydney University offering 100 per cent fee waiver and various scholarships.
This figured during an education dialogue held at GBPUAT’s College of Community Sciences here on Saturday. A senior research programme coordinator at Western Sydney University, Australia, Sindhu Sheoran, who is currently involved in the Dual Degree Programme, addressed the students who came from various colleges.
Sheoran explained that the Dual Degree Programme enables students to earn degrees from both universities and gain access to excellent global employment opportunities. She further informed that Western Sydney University is setting up an extended institute in Noida in 2027, offering MBA and MSc degrees focused on sustainable water futures. “In this, students will be given the educational environment of Western Sydney University Australia in the first year without going there after which the students, in the second year, will enter Western Sydney University Australia,” she said.
She answered questions asked by the students about the details of the programme.
