Forest sarpanches staged a rally on Tuesday at the tehsil premises, protesting against the growing wild life menace and demanding prompt actions to meet their longstanding demands. A memorandum was submitted to the chief minister through the office of the sub-divisional magistrate. During the rally, effigies were torched.
Earlier, the forest Sarpanches along with some local people took out a procession from Badrinath taxi stand to the Tehsil premises where they staged the sit-in.
