Govt aims to promote awareness on sixteen rituals of Hinduism: Gairola

Secretary of the Sanskrit Education department, Deepak Kumar Gairola stated that the State government aims to spread awareness about the significance of the sixteen rituals (16 Sanskar) of Hinduism, as outlined in Indian Sanatan culture, to the general public. He said this during the concluding session of a workshop and lecture series on sixteen rituals organised by the Uttarakhand Sanskrit Academy on Wednesday. Many officials concerned were present at the event. As the chief guest, Gairola emphasised the government’s commitment to promoting the importance of these rituals, particularly among the youth. The goal is to preserve these sixteen rituals, which he described as a vital part of India’s scientific and spiritual heritage. Scholars present during the programme shared their insights on the rituals.
Additionally, academy secretary Manoj Kishore Pant welcomed the guests and outlined the academy’s work plan in detail during his address.
