Complicated surgery conducted on a Nepali woman

A young woman (19), a Nepal national, who had been injured in her hip, spine and pelvic, was successfully operated upon at the Government B D Pandey District Hospital under the guidance of its senior orthopaedic surgeon, Dr Narendra Singh Rawat.
She had had a fall from a hill
about 10 days ago. Due to this, her hip bone, spine and pelvic bone had got fractured. As proper treatment was not available in Nepal, the girl’s family had kept her at home and her condition kept worsening. Then she was brought to Nainital and admitted to the Government BD Pandey Hospital.
Dr Rawat said that the surgery was quite complicated. “She is now being kept here for supervision of the doctors. After she is discharged, she will have to take bed rest for a month,” he added.
