8.28 lakh farmers of U’khand to receive Rs 185 Cr under Kisan Samman Nidhi

The farmers of Uttarakhand have so far received a sum of Rs 3,111.49 crore in 19 instalments under Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi. The Agriculture minister Ganesh Joshi said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will disburse the 20th instalment of the Kisan Samman Nidhi (KSN) from Banoli village of Varanasi district of Uttar Pradesh on August 2. He said that in Uttarakhand, 8,28,787 beneficiaries will receive a sum of Rs 184.25 crore under the KSN on August 2.
The minister said that a State level programme will be organised on August 2 at Harbans Kapoor memorial hall, Garhi Cantt in Dehradun. He said that programmes at block and village levels will also be held on the day. Similar programmes will also be organised at Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVK) and Agricultural institutes in the State. Joshi said that a facility of two way communication will be available in these programmes so that the beneficiary farmers can communicate directly with the Prime Minister. Joshi said that the publicity of the programme will be made on social media platforms.
In the programme, a sum of Rs 23.62 crore will be disbursed into accounts of 1,05,088 beneficiaries of Almora district. Similarly a sum of Rs 8.68 crore will be disbursed to 40,982 beneficiaries of Bageshwar, Rs 9.77 crore to 47,262 farmers of Chamoli, Rs 8.21 crore to 37,699 farmers of Champawat, Rs 12.07 crore to 44,873 beneficiaries of Dehradun, Rs 23.03 crore for 1,03,062 beneficiaries of Haridwar and Rs 12.06 crore to 54,849 beneficiaries of Nainital district. The minister further informed that 58,532 beneficiaries of Pauri will receive Rs 12.94 crore, 60,822 beneficiaries of Pithoragarh will receive Rs 13.27 crore and 39,987 beneficiaries of Rudraprayag district will receive Rs 9.01 crores under the KSN. Similarly 1,09,570 beneficiaries of Tehri will receive Rs 24.26 crore, 76,592 beneficiaries of Udham Singh Nagar will get 16.5 crore and 49,469 farmers of Uttarkashi will get Rs 10.83 crore under the KSN.
