Rawat directs officers for fair, peaceful & impartial board exams

Education minister Dhan Singh Rawat has said that all the preparations for a fair and copying free class X and XII examinations of Uttarakhand Vidhyalayi Shiksha Parishad (UVSP) have been made. The board examinations of UVSP are commencing from February 21.
In a statement on Thursday, the minister said that necessary guidelines for peaceful, fair and impartial board examinations have been issued. He said that directives have been given to the officers of Education department, UVSP, State administration and the police to work in a coordinated manner for the successful conduction of the board examinations.
The minister said that provisions under section -144 have been imposed around all the examination centres. He said that additional arrangements and deployment of flying squads have been made at the sensitive and hypersensitive examination centres. The centre superintendents, invigilators and officers concerned have been directed to prevent entry of unauthorised persons into the centre and ensure that the sanctity of the examination is maintained.
Rawat said that 2,15,252 students will take part in the class X and XII examinations this year. The UVSP has set up 1261 examination centres out of which 156 are sensitive and six hypersensitive.
In a message, the minister has greeted the students appearing for the class X and XII board examinations of UVSP. He said that the students should sit with confidence and a positive approach in the examination. Rawat also appealed to the parents and the teachers to encourage the students to appear with a positive mind-set and free from tensions in the board examinations.
