A meeting involving several departments like Youth Welfare, Sports, Education and Panchayat was held under the chairmanship of former chief minister and Haridwar MP Trivendra Singh Rawat regarding the ‘MP Sports Festival-2025’ to be held under the Fit India Movement. The meeting stressed on maximum participation in the event. A number of BJP leaders aside from senior State administration officers also attended the meeting.
Rawat reminded that the registration campaign for this festival had been launched from Haridwar on August 29 to mark the birth anniversary of the hockey wizard, Major Dhyan Chand. “This event is not just a sports competition but a pledge to give direction to the youth power and ensure their active participation in nation-building,” he said. The sports event is slated to begin on
September 21 with the participation of male/female players under-17 and 17+ categories.
Rawat directed that registration of minimum 10 participants from each school and college in Haridwar district should be ensured by September 20. “We have set a target of participation from about 2400 schools of Haridwar district,” he added.
The players can register themselves till September 20 in both individual and team formats by visiting the portal sansadkhelmahotsav.in
