NBCC Engages Supertech Homebuyers

In a significant step towards keeping homebuyers informed and involved in the resolution process, the Apex Court Committee (ACC), under the Chairmanship of Hon’ble Justice Krishna Murari, in association with NBCC (India) Limited, organised an interaction session for homebuyers of the 16 Supertech projects being revived under the framework approved by the Hon’ble Supreme Court and NCLAT.

The session witnessed enthusiastic participation from hundreds of homebuyers, who received updates on the progress made so far, the implementation roadmap, key challenges and the way forward. The interaction was led by Hon’ble Justice Krishna Murari, Chairman of the Apex Court Committee, in the presence of Shri K.P. Mahadevaswamy, Chairman and Managing Director, NBCC (India) Limited, Members of the Apex Court Committee, and other senior officials of NBCC associated with the resolution process.

Addressing the gathering, Hon’ble Justice Krishna Murari reassured homebuyers that the Committee is fully committed to ensuring the successful completion of the projects through a transparent, accountable and legally sustainable process. He emphasised that every legal, financial and execution-related issue is being examined in close coordination with all stakeholders, while urging homebuyers to remain confident as the resolution process gathers momentum.

Speaking on the occasion, Shri K.P. Mahadevaswamy, Chairman and Managing Director, NBCC (India) Limited, shared NBCC’s experience in successfully reviving the Amrapali projects. He explained how a structured execution strategy, coordinated planning and close collaboration with various stakeholders enabled the delivery of thousands of long-pending homes. He assured homebuyers that a comprehensive assessment of each Supertech project is underway and that project-specific execution plans are being prepared to facilitate timely completion.

Officials highlighted that the resolution is being implemented under a homebuyer-centric framework, with the primary objective of completing the projects and ensuring delivery of homes. Homebuyers were also informed that the process for appointment of the Interim Resolution Professional (IRP) is underway. Hon’ble Justice Krishna Murari also informed the homebuyers that the fifth member of the Apex Court Committee, a Real Estate Expert, has recently been onboarded, further enhancing the Committee’s domain expertise to support the resolution process.

ACC Member Shri Vijay Choudhary presented the progress made so far and briefed homebuyers on the ongoing efforts to secure project funding through financial institutions and other sources. He informed the gathering that work is progressing on creating a sustainable financial framework to support uninterrupted construction across the projects.

The interaction also featured an extensive question-and-answer session during which homebuyers raised project-specific issues, sought clarifications and offered constructive suggestions. Senior representatives from NBCC and the Apex Court Committee responded to the queries and explained the various steps being taken to overcome practical and regulatory challenges.

For many homebuyers who have waited years for possession of their homes, the interaction marked an important milestone. The opportunity to engage directly with the key decision-makers, understand the implementation strategy and receive transparent updates helped reinforce confidence in the ongoing resolution process.

The session reflected the Apex Court Committee’s commitment to maintaining regular communication with homebuyers and ensuring that they remain informed participants in the journey towards project completion. With NBCC leading the execution process under the guidance of the Apex Court Committee and the Hon’ble Supreme Court, focused efforts are underway to transform long-pending projects into completed homes and bring relief to thousands of affected families.
