Nursing student’s rape complaint: Haridwar police register case

Police have registered a case against a Haridwar resident, Dalvinder Sharma at Haridwar police station on the basis of a complaint lodged by a BSc nursing student from Kalka, Panchkula (Haryana), alleging rape on the pretext of marriage. The survivor had said that the accused had allegedly raped her in a hotel in Haridwar on June 13.
Later, he had broken off the relationship despite the shagun being held on June 5, the complainant had alleged. She had also filed a zero FIR at Kalka.
After it had reached Haridwar police station, police registered a case. A senior officer at Haridwar police station, Ritesh Shah said that a case has been registered against the accused based on the zero FIR and action would be taken after investigation.
