Pantnagar University to produce more milk by cloning Badri cow: VC

The vice chancellor, GB Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Manmohan Singh Chauhan said that work on the cloning of Badri cow was progressing under a project worth Rs 1.25 crore at the university in collaboration with National Dairy Research Institute (NDRI), Haryana. He said this while addressing the fifth Biotechnology Conclave being held in Patwadangar.
“The cow made from the clone will produce more milk and will provide employment to the people. While Badri cow normally gives one to two litters of milk its clone will give double the milk,” he said, adding that the milk of Badri cow is considered best for infants, elderly people and patients.
