Teachers’ Day was celebrated enthusiastically at Parwati Prema Jagati Saraswati Vihar Senior Secondary School at Durgapur in Nainital. On this occasion, the students performed various cultural programmes, including song and dance performances and poetry recitals, all focused on expressing gratitude and respect for their beloved teachers.
Earlier, inaugurating the programme, the principal Surya Prakash laid wreaths on the portrait of Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. The students also played the role of teachers.
In his address, Surya Prakash said that teachers are pillars of the society. “It is only through them that the all-round development of students is possible,” he observed.
The commemorative programme concluded with the felicitation of the teachers.
