Patanjali hosts Agriculture Cluster Training Programme, officers from Nepal attend

The three-day Integrated Agriculture Cluster Training Programme, organised by Patanjali, concluded at the Samridh Gram Patanjali Training Centre here on Wednesday.  The organisers said that the programme had been organised to promote integrated and sustainable farming practices for rural prosperity. Over 150 self-help group (SHG) members participated actively with accommodation provided to them during the programme. Some senior officers of the Nepal government were also present.

Acharya Balkrishna attended the programme on the final day and said that integrated and sustainable agricultural practices are the foundation of self-reliant villages and a prosperous rural economy. He encouraged participants to adopt farming in harmony with nature and to transform agriculture into a multifaceted one.
During the programme, the participants shared their experiences and expressed satisfaction with the practical knowledge and field experience they had gained during the training.

Addressing the participants on this occasion, the block development officer (BDO), Bahadarabad, Manas Mittal said that the integrated farming model empowers the village-level economy and sustainably strengthens the livelihoods of farmers and SHG members.

The secretary of the Ministry of Environment and Forests, Government of Nepal, Govind Prasad Sharma, shared his views on sustainable agriculture, environmental protection, and cross-border cooperation, calling such training a necessity for the future. The under secretary, Government of Nepal, Bharat Khandel addressed it, too.


During the training programme, the participants received both theoretical and practical training. Highlights of the training included topics such as beekeeping, mushroom production, climate-smart agriculture and quality control of FMCG products.

Experts conducted detailed technical sessions on these topics, providing participants with insights into new income-enhancing opportunities.

The programme concluded with a certificate distribution ceremony, where all participants were awarded certificates for completing the training.
