A workshop for principals on the topic of building strong future leaders held at Sherwood College on Thursday was focussed on global education, leadership skills and social development. The principals of educational institutions from various states attended and offered suggestions and ideas at the workshop.
Addressing the workshop, the principal of Sherwood College, Amandeep Sandhu said that in the changing social environment, teachers are responsible for developing leadership, empowering, inclusiveness and effectiveness through modern education. “The current global age has become increasingly global, so for better leadership, students must develop skills such as intelligence, ideological acumen, creativity, diplomatic acumen, communication skills, human management and the ability to organise and motivate,” he added.
The principal of Birla Vidya Mandir, Anil Sharma said that education is the key to leadership and without effective leadership, development in any field is impossible.
The principal of Longview Senior Secondary School, BC Tripathi said that the challenges for teachers have increased with the advent of the internet and collective efforts are needed to address them.
