The president of Rachnatmak Congress Sandeep Dikshit has said that the Rachnatmak Congress which has y been constituted recently is an ideological initiative to connect all progressive citizens, social organizations, intellectuals, artists, academicians, youth and women who believe in the values of the Constitution. Interacting with the media-persons at State Congress headquarters on Saturday, Dikshit said that the objective of the new body is not limited to political discourse, but rather to establish dialogue between different sections of society, strengthen democratic values and spread the ideals of equality, justice, liberty and fraternity as enshrined in the Constitution. He said that constructive participation in the country’s development is possible only when different sections of society move forward together with positive thinking.
Dikshit added that the Rachnatmak Congress is an independent platform inspired by the Indian National Congress, which will work on the basis of social concerns and ideological commitment.
Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Ganesh Godiyal said that there is a need to strengthen dialogue, participation and commitment to public concerns among various sections of society in Uttarakhand. He said that the platform of Rachnatmak Congress will serve to raise social awareness, protect constitutional values and strengthen public participation. It will also serve as a powerful medium for dialogue between various social groups and the Congress, he said.
Senior functionaries of the Rachnatmak Congress Vijay Pratap, Ashish Joshi and Bhuvan Pathak also spoke about the new initiative and future plans of their organisation.
Former MLA Lalit Farswan also accompanied Dikshit and Godiyal.
