Under the recommendation of the Lok Sabha member Ajay Bhatt, the Udham Singh Nagar District Water and Sanitation Committee approved the construction of the drinking water schemes involving Rudrapur, Kashipur and Sitarganj. To be constructed under the externally aided drinking water supply scheme, it will come up at an estimated cost of Rs 636.14 crore and will benefit over three lakh people.
All these drinking water schemes will be constructed on the basis of the estimated population of these towns in 2057.
While reviewing the works of Jal Jeevan Mission, Bhatt directed for expeditious completion of all these schemes and promptly repairing all the roads to be dug while laying the drinking water lines.
